Privacy Policy

Application information

We collect first name, age, email, approximate area, gender and dating preferences, dating intention, marriage timeframe, your explanation of why you are applying, profile bio and prompt answers, an ordinary-week faith response, parish or diocese, five application photos, a video introduction of up to 60 seconds, submission source and time, and timestamps and versions recording your legal and safety acknowledgements. You may optionally provide Catholic-journey, liturgical-preference, Mass-rhythm, and confirmation-name information. After you verify your email, completed application sections are available for seven days so you can continue later. Unfinished drafts are not available to application reviewers and are removed by scheduled cleanup after they expire. We use submitted application details to receive and personally review applications, prepare an approved applicant’s profile, and manage invitations. Application photos and videos are stored privately and are available only to authorized application moderators.

Account and profile information

If you use the app, we process account identifiers, age, profile and dating-preference information, optional faith-context information, photographs, biographies, prompts, likes, passes, matches, messages, review status, and technical information required for security and operation. The app currently collects a member-entered area; it does not promise precise-location tracking.

Sensitive choices and visibility

Faith-context information may concern religious practice, sacraments, parish or diocese, family hopes, or Church-teaching views. Parish or diocese is required for the application, but it is private by default. Application reviewers can see information submitted for application review. Available controls separately determine whether supported faith-context fields are later shown to eligible members, used privately as matching context, both, or neither. Liturgical preference and Catholic background are not used as hard acceptance criteria or hard matching filters.

How matching works

Matching is rules-based, not AI. It uses profile and consented compatibility signals. Solange does not use a model to judge virtue, sincerity, spiritual condition, or whether someone is a “good Catholic.” No user converses with an AI model in Solange today.

Service providers

Current infrastructure includes Supabase for authentication, database services, realtime messaging, and application-media storage; Vercel for the website and application endpoint; and Expo for mobile-app tooling and delivery. We do not currently use Stripe because payments have not launched. We do not currently send profiles or conversations to an outside AI provider.

Retention, deletion, and security

Solange has not finalized a complete retention schedule. Profile deletion can remove related records, including conversations, because parts of the current schema cascade deletions. There is no in-app account-deletion flow today. Requests may be directed to [PRIVACY EMAIL REQUIRED] once that contact is operational. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or dispute purposes. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices

You may omit optional fields and control certain sensitive-field uses. Do not provide information you do not want processed. Access, correction, deletion, consent-withdrawal, and appeal procedures require an operational privacy contact before public launch.

Age and changes

Solange is for people aged 18 and older. We may update this policy as the service changes and will identify the applicable version and date.

Features to document when shipped

This policy must be updated when report, block, appeal, fraud-ban notification, payments, identity vendors, analytics, AI processing, or in-app account deletion are introduced.
